What a day! Whew...
Yesterday, what can I say....it was a LONG day and a busy day at that. I got up first thing and got ready and dropped B off at school and I headed to Dothan. I had to go register for school :( I so did NOT want to be doing that. Anyway, once I got to school..everything started off wrong, of course I don't have patience for stuff like that. Especially when its something that I really don't want to be doing. The highlight of the morning, was seeing my advisor! (Aunt Sam will understand) :))haha. I finally left school around 11 something. Then I made a visit to see April at work. I then attempted to go to sherwin williams to pick out a stain for the cabinets for the house.... Unaccomplished I might add, I am still very overwhelmed! I went a couple of weeks ago to pick up some samples of the colors we wanted for the house and while I was waiting for the samples, I looked at the different colors of stains, well..... I think I stood there for 10 minutes LOST OUT OF MY MIND!!!!! I have absolutley no idea of what I want. So, now I have the stain samples with me at home...and I am still undecided...and I have to give my contractor a color TODAY! OMG! I know, I have no idea what to do. The guys got finished yesterday afternoon doing the sheetrock for the house and the electric guys are out there now hooking up power! WooHoo! :) Of course the windows didn't come in yesterday like they were supposed too, supposed to be here tomorrow around lunch now...so we will see! Highlight of the afternoon was somebody called about the trailor, they sounded very interested in it. Maybe something good will come about that. :) A little off subject, but I've been "rug" shopping for the house online and at some stores in Destin, did you know rugs are ridiculously expensive??? Its crazy how much rugs cost... with that said...I have yet to purchase a area rug for any room of the house! I don't have any pictures for this blog, I actuall probably do...but I'm to lazy to go find my cord to upload them :) Happy Thursday to everyone!!!!

House Ideas
I thought I would do a post of ideas and things we have for the house!
This is the granite that Tad and I picked out for the kitchen and the fireplace. Its called Hurricane Gold...
These are the lights that will hang over the kitchen island and over the kitchen sink. 2 will be over island and 1 over sink. They will hang down, so it'll be like the second light!
These are a few pieces of tile that we've been looking at for the bathrooms and laundry room...pretty much all have the same color scheme...
This is the shower curtain for Brayden's bathroom
This is the china cabinet that I have picked out, and our contractor is building us one just like it :) My grandmother's china is going to look awesome in it!
This is our frig.
My stainless steel farmhouse sink for the kitchen! my favorite part of the house :)
Pictures of the house from this afternoon, they started of the sheetrock today :)
The rest of the windows are supposed to be in tomorrow! Say a prayer that they will.

Family Beach Trip 2012
We had our annual Family Beach Trip a couple weeks ago. We normally stay in Destin on the beach, but everything was pretty much booked up. We stayed in SeaCrest between Destin and PCB. It was soooo nice! Very quite and relaxing...not alot of people on the beach but we did catch a wedding at the end of the week :) It was about a 30 minute drive into Destin, which I only made 2 trips there anyway. PCB was much more closer, maybe took 5-10 minutes to get there. I love PCB, I miss our annual PCB trip we used to take everyear before I graduated high school. Anyhow, we had a great time of course, although it does get crazy with 6 families under 1 roof for a whole week. Seaweed was awful :( Sunday we went to St. Andrews Park and seaweed was awful there too. Brayden of course didn't mind and loved diving into the water.
Aunt Sam and I sent all the kiddos with Uncle Wayne and Tadpole at the Commons! :) We took the picture and ran!!HAHAHA
Momma and Uncle Rusty found this during their dive on Sunday at St. Andrew's. They saved it because it was empty and so neat looking. It was really cool in person, well until the crab started to come out!!!! Nope...not empty! I had it on my leg and it started moving around...scared me to death!!! Not cooL!
Eli rode with us into Destin on that Tuesday. He was watching Open Season 2 and was cracking me up how into the movie he was. I just had to have a picture of him all into it!
This station wagon was at the outlets when we got there... I immediatly took a picture and sent it to my daddy. We used to always make fun of paneling cars... This one is def. in the top of my list with the blue painters tape! :) bahahaha
Thursday night, Brayden started running fever :( It was a rough night for us. Friday, no fever that morning so we tried to go out on the beach and he didn't even want to play.. He sat in his chair for a little bit that got in my lap with his towel over him... Made this mommy sad!!! You can tell in this picture that he doesn't feel good at all.
We had a great vacation, but its always nice to come home! We missed our "new" house all week and were very anxious to see it the Saturday we came home.
Happy Birthday to my Aunt Sam! I love you and hope your day has been absolutley wonderful. Hope you enjoyed your sushi tonight :)

Moving right along
June is coming to an end... which means my summer is getting shorter and shorter! :( I'm ready to start back to school but I've enjoyed not worrying about studying for class or doing homework. The house is coming along! We are so excited about it. Brayden asks every night when the guys leave if we can move in yet, lol. Bless his heart, he's ready to move in his new house! Its moving pretty fast, but I'm sure it'll slow down once they start working on the roof. My sink came in today, I haven't seen it yet in person. Our contractor took it home with him and is bringing it back tomorrow so I can check it out. April and I went shopping today and I got all the towel racks/ tp holders for all the bathrooms and also got the 2 half baths mirrors. I get more enjoyment out of buying that kind of stuff than I do buying clothes and such. We have made some changes this week to the house..mainly just finalized the back deck and extra slab for garage and front porch steps. We did add another closet to the master bedroom. I just felt like we needed some extra room! It is looking bigger! THANK GOODNESS, I'm not freaking out anymore, which I sure my momma and daddy are thankful for... Poor things had to hear me whine about it for 2 weeks. I have 1 more week of working full time, then its down to 2 days a week for me! I can't wait. I enjoy having the extra money, but I miss being home with my boys :( Sometimes I think I can do the whole stay at home mom thing, but those days when Brayden and I clash and get on each others nerves I don't think I can handle being a SAHM... What to do?? I have plenty of time to decide that tho :) Anyway, Its WAY WAY past my bedtime!
GOODNIGHT Y'ALL! :)
This was Oki and I on her birthday, She is 6 years old now... Where has the time gone too??? I love that little mini me to the moon and back.
My sweet overly confused momma! I guess she thought just because she had on her scuba wear that she would see some tropical fish in the pool.... *bahaha*
Our sweet boy before church on Sunday morning!
This is what the house looked like when I got home this afternoon! I told ya, things were moving fast!!! I can't wait to be in it!

Lazy to Busy
Okay, I know I've become a huge slacker when it comes to blogging. I say each time I blog that I'll try to be better and blog soon....Well, lately I never do. Since I've started this job, I have found that I no time for the computer really. I get home around 5:30-5:45 each day, we eat supper, B gets a bath and we go to bed! Pretty boring huh? By Friday I am completely worn out. This week was VBS, so I didn't get home until 9-9:00 each night and got up bright and early every morning at 5:15. Tad finally got to call on Wednesday night on my way home from VBS, and I was the happiest girl ever! It was so good to hear his voice. He's been so patient with me this week because I know he's been dieing to know whats been going on with the house and I wasn't able to show him pictures until Wednesday. The house is coming along, its pretty much all blocked up now, waiting on the plumber to run the pipes and all. It looks so small, it freaks me out.. I called my mom this afternoon and kept asking her if she thought it was going to be to small...haha... she of course laughed at me and said it will be fine! I've complained to Tad enough, that he finally just said that if its not big enough then we'll save some money and build on! *L*I know they all look small before the walls and all start going up, but I have been really freaking out about it.. Tad keeps saying, "Kayla, its bigger than what we live in now" Yes I know that! Brayden goes to the dentist on Thursday and I couldn't be more nervous about it. He hates to brush his teeth! I have to put him in a headlock almost every time. I've tried everything to get him not to scream and pitch a fit about brushing his teeth. Last Friday, I took some pictures to be framed and my momma picked them up yesterday since she had a class in Pensacola. She brought them to me tonight and they look amazing! I can't wait to hang them in the house. When Tad comes home we are going to start buying some of the things we will need for the house, like towel racks...the little things right now, nothing big. We are going to start pricing his grill though and find one he likes. My apron sink is on hold right now, since its so big we really don't have anywhere to store it. We're just going to wait until our contractor tells us he needs it in order to build the cabinet around and under it. My mom finally booked us a house at the beach for the end of July! WTG Mom!!! Good thing is she told me the other day that she's found a house for next year and she'll be booking in by November! *haha* We'll see..... Our annual mother/daughter/Brayden trip hasn't been booked yet, I think we are just gonna go back to the beach again. I'm not sure when we are going to do it yet. Anyway, its way past my bedtime! Sorry, I just really don't feel like waiting for pictures to upload tonight... WIll do next time. :-)
I know this post is a little scatterbrained, but thats the way I've been for the past couple weeks :)

A little Mommy/Daddy time!
Last weekend Tad and I had our very first mommy/daddy trip by ourselves. Let me tell you it was way over due, even though we missed and wished Brayden was with us the whole time*lol*. We haven't been anywhere by ourselves over night since before we had Brayden. Now I've been to NYC without him, but Tad was home... Tad went to SC and AK without him, but I was home. So, anyway after I got home from work last Friday we loaded up the Tahoe and took Brayden to his granny and pawpaw Tisdale's house. He was staying with them on Friday night and he stayed with Izzy and Papa T on Saturday night. We stayed in Sandestin at the Hilton. I've never stayed inside Sandestin or at a Hilton! :) I've been to Sandestin and the Hilton because thats where my moms July conference is every year, so I've been there plenty of times. Our room was really nice, we had a partial view of the beach. Friday night we had reservations at The Melting Pot, one of my favorite places to eat. Its one of those places you can only afford once a year though, very expensive. Our reservations were at 7:15 but we got there a little before, but they actually just let us go ahead and be seated. I left my phone in the car thinking that I wouldn't need it, that I would just enjoy conversation with my husband. Well when the waitress took us to our table, we had like our own little room...it was so nice,... very secluded. We walk in the little room and there's 3 roses sitting on the table, I just thought it was standard! After we sit, Tad says "those are yours" WOW! I was so surprised :) I sure love that guy!!! After we got done with our cheese portion of the meal, I talked Tad into going to the car to get my phone so I could take pictures :) What a sweet husband he was being. He had been making fun on me every since we got to Destin about taking pictures..I wanted to have pictures so I could remember. Our food of course was YUMMY! I tell everybody to go try Melting Pot, its well worth the money in our opionins. We got up Saturday morning and went and ate breakfast at Waffle House. We had planned on laying on the beach most of the day but it turned out to be an ugly day. So we just decided to go to some stores, We shopped at Destin Commons awhile, got B some new crocs and Tadpole got a few things from Bass Pro. It was lunch time by the time we got done shopping there. We decided that we would go to PCB to eat at Shuckums. Its our favorite seafood place to eat in PCB. We've been going there since I was a little girl. We just had oysters for lunch, 4 dozen to be exact :) They were incredibly good, the best I've had in awhile. After eating we headed back to Destin and did some shopping at the outlets, we didn't find to much for us..but some how bought Brayden another wardrobe...How does that happen? haha, I guess we enjoy shopping for him more than ourselves...We just really missed him screaming in every store so we thought we would be him lots of "prizes" as he calls it. When we got back to the hotel, we decided to go down to the beach...OMG! the wind was horrible...We couldn't stand it, Tad put his toes in the water and said it was FREEZING! We just went back to the hotel and got into the inside pool.. It was so nice, Tad thought it was cold too and had goosebumps all over him. *lol* We swam for awhile before it was time to shower to go eat. We were very unsure where we wanted to eat at..We had planned on going to AJ's for supper, but after lunch we didn't really want seafood. While I was talking to mom, Tad said that he had made reservations at Osaka while I was in the shower. :) FINE WITH ME!!! haha, it was yummy too.. I actually didn't get any sushi, so our bill was rather low for there. Then we went to my favorite store...Target, and spent way to much money.... I hardly ever come out of there with less than $100 worth of goodies. I just love it. Sunday, we got up early and headed HOME, we missed our baby so much! He was so happy to see us but was really interested in all his prizes we brought home for him. So spoiled... We really had a wonderful weekend together... I love spending time with my Tadpole and his crazy "preppy" self *L*
I think he looks pretty hot pulling Pink and White polka dot luggage *haha* :)
My pretty roses :)
He was cracking me up on way back home from lunch at Shuckums in PCB
On our way to eat at Osaka on Saturday night, I think he may have been really tired of pictures.

Ohh what a Day!!!
My two boys! Boy I love them :)
Our weekend was very low key and relaxing...I love those kind of weekends.. My Aunt Gail called Friday night wanting us to go to the beach on Saturday and Brayden and I passed on that. I really wanted me and him to just be lazy, clean a little and do the laundry! And thats just what we did.. We did manage to make a trip to the grocery store for a few things that we needed, but that was it! Saturday afternoon, I started feeling really bad :( Most of you know I haven't been feeling great the past month. I finally went to the doctor! Don't know whats going on yet but hopefully will know something soon. I'm telling you since October, Tad and I have been falling apart! haha... gallbladder, hornea...and now this? Good Gracious, but I'm sure God knows what he's doing with us :) I'm very sure of that! Our Sunday School teacher always says don't say something about "Monday's" You know most of us always say, "It's been a Monday"...Now haven't we all said it at some point??? He always says to make it a Great Monday because it's the only one you'll have that week. I most definitely was saying that today! Even though today was a hectic Monday at work, I thanked God for giving me this Monday for this week and everything and everyone he put in my way today. I never knew all the things there was to do in a doctor's office, but now I know exactly what goes on behind that sliding glass! Craziness! *haha* I do enjoy it very much though and I enjoy the people I work with too. My parents are home from Bermuda, LUCKY DOGS!!! They said it was beautiful there but expensive. They said everything was closed by 6 and not very many places to eat. They saw 1 fast food and that was KFC, gotta have that fried chicken *lol* So it was like the country closed at 6... When they went to Spain, the city didn't start opening until 11, crazy how countries are so different. I did ask her if the captain said anything about going through the triangle on their way to and from Bermuda, she said no. Anyway, I hope everyone had a wonderful Monday and have an even better Tuesday tomorrow :)
