A little Mommy/Daddy time!

Last weekend Tad and I had our very first mommy/daddy trip by ourselves. Let me tell you it was way over due, even though we missed and wished Brayden was with us the whole time*lol*. We haven't been anywhere by ourselves over night since before we had Brayden. Now I've been to NYC without him, but Tad was home... Tad went to SC and AK without him, but I was home. So, anyway after I got home from work last Friday we loaded up the Tahoe and took Brayden to his granny and pawpaw Tisdale's house. He was staying with them on Friday night and he stayed with Izzy and Papa T on Saturday night. We stayed in Sandestin at the Hilton. I've never stayed inside Sandestin or at a Hilton! :) I've been to Sandestin and the Hilton because thats where my moms July conference is every year, so I've been there plenty of times. Our room was really nice, we had a partial view of the beach. Friday night we had reservations at The Melting Pot, one of my favorite places to eat. Its one of those places you can only afford once a year though, very expensive. Our reservations were at 7:15 but we got there a little before, but they actually just let us go ahead and be seated. I left my phone in the car thinking that I wouldn't need it, that I would just enjoy conversation with my husband. Well when the waitress took us to our table, we had like our own little room...it was so nice,... very secluded. We walk in the little room and there's 3 roses sitting on the table, I just thought it was standard! After we sit, Tad says "those are yours" WOW! I was so surprised :) I sure love that guy!!! After we got done with our cheese portion of the meal, I talked Tad into going to the car to get my phone so I could take pictures :) What a sweet husband he was being. He had been making fun on me every since we got to Destin about taking pictures..I wanted to have pictures so I could remember. Our food of course was YUMMY! I tell everybody to go try Melting Pot, its well worth the money in our opionins. We got up Saturday morning and went and ate breakfast at Waffle House. We had planned on laying on the beach most of the day but it turned out to be an ugly day. So we just decided to go to some stores, We shopped at Destin Commons awhile, got B some new crocs and Tadpole got a few things from Bass Pro. It was lunch time by the time we got done shopping there. We decided that we would go to PCB to eat at Shuckums. Its our favorite seafood place to eat in PCB. We've been going there since I was a little girl. We just had oysters for lunch, 4 dozen to be exact :) They were incredibly good, the best I've had in awhile. After eating we headed back to Destin and did some shopping at the outlets, we didn't find to much for us..but some how bought Brayden another wardrobe...How does that happen? haha, I guess we enjoy shopping for him more than ourselves...We just really missed him screaming in every store so we thought we would be him lots of "prizes" as he calls it. When we got back to the hotel, we decided to go down to the beach...OMG! the wind was horrible...We couldn't stand it, Tad put his toes in the water and said it was FREEZING! We just went back to the hotel and got into the inside pool.. It was so nice, Tad thought it was cold too and had goosebumps all over him. *lol* We swam for awhile before it was time to shower to go eat. We were very unsure where we wanted to eat at..We had planned on going to AJ's for supper, but after lunch we didn't really want seafood. While I was talking to mom, Tad said that he had made reservations at Osaka while I was in the shower. :) FINE WITH ME!!! haha, it was yummy too.. I actually didn't get any sushi, so our bill was rather low for there. Then we went to my favorite store...Target, and spent way to much money.... I hardly ever come out of there with less than $100 worth of goodies. I just love it. Sunday, we got up early and headed HOME, we missed our baby so much! He was so happy to see us but was really interested in all his prizes we brought home for him. So spoiled... We really had a wonderful weekend together... I love spending time with my Tadpole and his crazy "preppy" self *L*

I think he looks pretty hot pulling Pink and White polka dot luggage *haha* :)

 My pretty roses :)

Our oysters at Shuckums! They were oooooo So YummY!!!!

He was cracking me up on way back home from lunch at Shuckums in PCB

On our way to eat at Osaka on Saturday night, I think he may have been really tired of pictures.

Ohh what a Day!!!

My two boys! Boy I love them :)

Our weekend was very low key and relaxing...I love those kind of weekends.. My Aunt Gail called Friday night wanting us to go to the beach on Saturday and Brayden and I passed on that. I really wanted me and him to just be lazy, clean a little and do the laundry! And thats just what we did.. We did manage to make a trip to the grocery store for a few things that we needed, but that was it! Saturday afternoon, I started feeling really bad :( Most of you know I haven't been feeling great the past month. I finally went to the doctor! Don't know whats going on yet but hopefully will know something soon. I'm telling you since October, Tad and I have been falling apart! haha... gallbladder, hornea...and now this? Good Gracious, but I'm sure God knows what he's doing with us :) I'm very sure of that! Our Sunday School teacher always says don't say something about "Monday's" You know most of us always say, "It's been a Monday"...Now haven't we all said it at some point??? He always says to make it a Great Monday because it's the only one you'll have that week. I most definitely was saying that today! Even though today was a hectic Monday at work, I thanked God for giving me this Monday for this week and everything and everyone he put in my way today. I never knew all the things there was to do in a doctor's office, but now I know exactly what goes on behind that sliding glass! Craziness! *haha* I do enjoy it very much though and I enjoy the people I work with too. My parents are home from Bermuda, LUCKY DOGS!!! They said it was beautiful there but expensive. They said everything was closed by 6 and not very many places to eat. They saw 1 fast food and that was KFC, gotta have that fried chicken *lol* So it was like the country closed at 6... When they went to Spain, the city didn't start opening until 11, crazy how countries are so different. I did ask her if the captain said anything about going through the triangle on their way to and from Bermuda, she said no. Anyway, I hope everyone had a wonderful Monday and have an even better Tuesday tomorrow :)

More catch-up!

The picture above cracks me up, it looks like Tad has no font teeth. I just noticed it when I was uploading it!*lol* I still think its a cute picture of my favorite boys :) That outfit that Brayden has on is an outfit that Eli wore when he was little! Its that old *haha* I had to make sure to get a pic of B in it, just because its a special outfit.

The next 2 pics are on B's actual birthday! Tad and I took him to Chuck E Cheese's for his birthday and we all had a blast! I actually have pictures from that day but they are on my mom's camera. I took her camera because I didnt want to load my big camera around all day.. and I have no idea where she put that camera card at her house. Anyway, isn't he the cutest 3 year old :)

 Easter morning before church!

Oki and and I made a shopping trip one day before we had B's birthday party for the rest of the supplies for the party. She was out on Spring Break that week so I decided we would have a girls day :) We both enjoyed it so much! We shopped and had a great lunch at Chili's
She knows how to get exactly what she wants too, think maybe she gets that from me??? I sure love this pretty girl to the moon and back and she most definitely knows it too! *haha*

Nina finally had Baylie Kate! I was so excited for my bff!She is just the cutest little thing! Of course Brayden and I had to go see her after she was born. I had to sub that day and as soon as I got out of school B and I hurried ourselves over to Dothan to see that precious baby girl.

Baylie Kate and her Aunt Kay, she just LOVES LOVES LOVES me! I'm telling you, that girl could come live me anytime she wants :) I might just spoil her rotten. I haven't seen her in a month now, and I'm having major withdrawals from holding her :( Nina bring me that baby girl! *lol* You know she misses me, all the cooing she does is about how much she misses me and wants to see me ;)
We love riding around on the hunting club! B enjoys hanging out the window and looking for deer tracks :)

Well, just to finish catching you up on things, I started 3 weeks ago at Callahan ENT in Enterprise working part time. I was getting a little bored at home, and some friends from church work there and thought that I would like a part time job. I enjoy it so much! I love having something to do, although I do miss my baby boy, just because we get home late. Its helping out with the house fund. This money is mainly for those small things that you want for your house but have to buy here and there.. Well I'm just saving this money for curtains, lamps, wall decor, rugs, pillows and the little costly things like that!We are hoping to be starting on the house in the next month! Our little family has been so blessed within the past year and I thank God for that everyday! I think this pretty much catches ya'll up on things...If I remember anything else, I'll blog about it next time! Brayden and I plan on having a relaxing weekend. I had planned on making a beach trip (just the 2 of us) but I don't think I can handle B all by myself on the beach yet...he's WAY to wild! Have a wonderful weekend folks ;)

We ARE alive! I promise!

Okay, so it's been over a month since I last blogged and SOO much has happened to the Tisdale's. I started substituting at OES and OMS, LOVE IT! But not enough to change my major in August when I start back to school, after my much needed break from schoolwork. Around the middle of March we got word that Tad would be leaving to go back to work on April 10th, so we the set a date for B's birthday party, April 6th which is his actual birthday. I got invites made and printed and they were on their way in the mail. Well about 4 days after we got the first email, they sent another and said he would be leaving on April 6th!!!! Are you kidding me?? Really??? I should have known this though, as soon as we set a date for the party they would make him leave earlier or on that day..and thats exactly what happened! I was SOOOO mad and confused on what to do.. Immediately I called my mom and text my friends April and Toyia for their opinions on what to do. They're moms and I knew they could help me figure out a solution! So with all of their help, I just decided to change the birthday to March 30. That way Tad could be home for his baby boys party. He wasn't happy with me about changing it at all, He knew how hard I had been working on this party and how much I still had to do for it and didnt want me to be rushed. I think he just didn't want me to put him to work!*haha* I tried to tell most of the people that we were inviting to the party that we had to push it up a week because I didn't get the invites until the Saturday before the party... I handed most of them out on Sunday to our friends at church though. So party day got here and April came to help me get food done and decorations done that day. She was a HUGE help! Thanks soo much April! :) I promise to help with "michael" Jackson's party. Anyway, so in the middle of us making chocolate covered marshmellows and other goodies. Tad gets an email, that says your departure date has been moved to leave on April 10.... REALLY???? I was steaming HOTTTTTTT!!!! Did this really happen? YES IT DID! HOT HOT HOT, is not even the words to describe how I felt after he got that email. All Tad could say was, I told you not to change the party... UGH! We made it through the party, barely... It stormed...and then what you ask???? A tornado! Yes, you read that exactly right! A tornado cloud comes right in front on the house. So here we all go into mothers house.... Luckily it didn't last very long, and most of everybody left soon after that, which I completely understand! I was soo tired, my feet were killing me...I had been standing up and going since 6:00 that morning! I have never cleaned up a birthday party so fast in my life..That next day I talked to my mom, and she was like you just cleaned up and got out of here.... I mean I was POOPED and needed to sit down and get off my feet before they fell off.

Of course I have lots more pictures, but my computer is being funny and is taking FOREVER to upload just 1 photo! So I'm glad that I got to catch you up on a few of the things that have happened with us...I do have lots more to tell and will do so in the next post :)

Praying, Listening, and finally Obeying

Well I haven't blogged in awhile, we've been a little busy around here. So I want to catch you up on whats going on with me. Some of you know that I signed up to become a volunteer for Sav-a-Life Pregnancy Crisis Center in Andalusia. I did this in October (i think). First off, Aunt Sam has been talking to me about volunteering there for several years, and I just would brush it off and say "yeah I should" For the past year its really been on my heart to volunteer and help these girls that have unplanned pregnancies. You all know that my major is Psychology and my main focus is on adolescents. I've always been that person to want to "fix" things, well you can't just "fix" things.. There are steps you need to take in order to come to "peace" with things. I've learned in the past couple of years, that God is there for me no matter what, as long as I believe and trust in him, I'm going to be okay. So, these girls that come into Sav-a-Life need to know this too. Well anyway, yesterday was my first day of training to become a client advocate. I enjoyed it so much, I learned alot..not only learned how to talk to the girls but how to conduct myself in the sessions and in my life. I prayed a long time about volunteering, and most of the time when I would feel God pushing me toward it, I would back off. I did that long enough and finally started listening to what he was telling me to do. I am now obeying God by doing what he wants me to do. I would love to oneday have a "job" with Sav-a-Life, but as for right now I'm obeying God by just volunteering and be there for the girls that come into the center. I have my second training this afternoon and I can't wait. I'm not sure what else God has instore for my life, but I know its great whatever it may be. Thanks for reading :)

"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that they be glorified."  - Isaiah 61:1-3

Is there really a first time for everything???

So, I went to the dentist this morning, and we all know that no one loves going to the dentist. Today was just a little worse than usual... I have my very first cavity :( I am super bummed about it.. I cried on my way home.. I know your thinking its just a cavity, but I have always prided myself on having no cavity's and now I have one.  Tad thought it was funny, my momma wasn't very happy with me, Tiffany tried to comfort me, and Nina said welcome to the club! What a wonderful family and friends I have :) *L* I have to have it filled in April :( I'm pretty sure I'll cry again about getting the shot... In Tadpole's words.. "Theres a first time for everything". UGH! I had lunch with Toyia at Papa G's and boy was my food yummy :) I enjoyed our catch up date. It's church night so of course we went to church. Now we are home, I've washed the dishes, Tad's in bed, and B is sitting on the couch with me watching Shake it Up and twirling my hair. I put him in his bed last night around 9:30 and he woke up around midnight and Tad put him in our bed. As soon as he falls asleep on the couch I'll put him back in his bed for round 2! I love that little bugger but he sure is a bed hog and this mommy hasn't been getting any sleep lately..and KAYLA needs her sleep!!! Tomorrow B is going to school and I'm going to clean house and wash clothes! Tad has to go the dentist tomorrow to have his cavity filled... HAHA to you :)
Brayden was giving daddy advice on where he thinks the house should be! :)

These two boys are all into looking for deer tracks... We have to start Brayden early so he'll know what to be looking for! *L* I enjoyed riding around in the woods yesterday with my boys. When I was younger, the days that my daddy picked me up from school we would always go to the hunting club looking for tracks. He would pick me up from school, we'd stop by Onycha Grocery get us a drink and some beef jerky that they used to sell( it was the BEST beef jerky ever). Then we would go ride on the hunting club for awhile just looking around enjoying daddy/daughter time.

Whats going on with us??

I'm just going to let the pictures tell you whats been going on with us the past 2 weeks :) You'll probably not be so scatter brained if I do it this way!

This was 2 Saturday's ago, Tad, April, Shane and I all went to Dothan that night and ate at Conestoga's. It was GREAT! If you know me, I'm not one to eat a steak out anywhere. We enjoyed it very much. The next two pictures were after we ate :)

Happy Valentine's day! Tad and I had a wonderful day. Brayden went to daycare and he had a Valentine's Day party in his class. Tad and I ate lunch at Rancho Grande and then went to WalMart. We picked up B the Operation game, but instead of the man it was Mater!! :) Of course when we got home that night and gave it to him he HAD to play it.. So you can imagine what all we did that night.

We had a photo session one night on B's new bed! Its so cute, and he loves it...but he doesn't love it enough to sleep in yet*haha*

Tad had hernia surgery on Wednesday of last week, and is doing great! He played golf all day yesterday so you know he must be doing good. Saturday while Tad was at church helping with D-Now stuff, B and I bake some red velvet cupcakes. Brayden enjoyed licking the bowl just a little too much!

While Tad played golf yesterday, Brayden and I laid on the couch pretty much all day and watched tv and movies...We got up a few times to play with some toys in the floor. Pretty much we just stayed on the couch and relaxed. Tad came home and grilled us drumettes and deer sausage. Today, we haven't done much.. I went grocery shopping at my parents house!*L* All of our deer meat is in their freezer and we were out of hamburger meat at our house, so I needed to stock up again. :) Then we went riding around in the woods, it was such a nice day for it too.

So I uploaded these pictures about and hour ago, and I wanted to upload the rest which are the ones from today, and my computer or blogger is messing up and won't upload anymore. UGH! It drives me crazy sometimes. I will upload them tomorrow if it'll let me! Everyone have a great Wednesday tomorrow :)
