The Bottle went Bye Bye!

Brayden is a little over 16 months old and still refuses to drink milk out of anything other than his bottles! I packed all his bottles up and we're putting them in the attack this weekend! So, on Monday night I gave a cup of milk...he spit it out. Therefore, he went to bed without any milk on Monday. I attempted again yesterday after I got home from school...He spit it out again. Then I got to thinking what if I put some strawberry in it now...will he drink it? and YES he did! I was sooo HAPPY :) I've tried strawberry and chocolate before and he still wouldn't drink it, but I guess he decided he was thirsty and that he wasn't getting any juice. He is doing so good now, and I'm so happy that I don't have to wash bottles anymore!! I hated that more than anything. I'm just happy that Brayden has decided it was time to be a big boy and drink milk from his cup even if its strawberry! I have been worried about this for several months that he would not let go of his bottle. He only had one bottle a day and that was at nighttime,so that meant he only had milk one time a day and it was only about 6 oz. When I gave him his milk this morning, he just sort of gave me this "what the world" look and drank it. Maybe he is starting to understand that the bottles are gone and milk only comes in cups now! haha... Now on to the pottytraining...I plan on starting in October with him and hopefully he will do pretty well.
Anyway...Tad left for work yesterday while I was at school so I pretty sad that I didn't get to see him leave. I'm sure I will get use to it though since it will happen every other time he is home. The other times he will have to leave in the morning so he will most likely leave before I even leave for school. We miss him already and wish he was home to play with us! School is going great! I love my classes and my teachers are nice too. My math teacher is special... he is just one of those types of teachers you see on TV. Its hilarious....It takes all I can do not to laugh at him when I'm in class, he is incredibly goofy acting, but he's super nice in helping you with what you don't understand. This time next year I will be getting ready to graduate in Dec. of '11. I'm pretty excited and can't wait. But anyway, this little boy of mine is telling me he needs breakfast so I hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

When Daddy's are In Charge....

They always say that mommy's are for nurture and daddy's are for play...well I have finally believed it! We have been down here at mother and daddy's house all afternoon and Tad, my daddy, and Brayden went to the store(onycha grocery) on the golf cart while I was finishing some homework for tomorrow. While they were gone it started pouring rain which it has on and off all day long. So, they get back and they had gotten Brayden a sucker so we were all outside. Next thing I know Tad and Brayden are running in and out of the garage in the rain. It was funny..I'm surprised Brayden liked it. He loves a bath but doesn't usually care about getting wet like that. So then Tad runs out in the yard in a huge water puddle, and guess who follows him...BRAYDEN! I just knew he was going to fall in that water or either just sit down, but when he bent down on his knees his hiney got soaked! He ran in and out of the water for awhile and then he finally fell down. It was funny! Then all of a sudden my daddy starts laughing and we look at Brayden...He was making his mommy a nice little present in his diaper, which was of course soaked also. Then he started getting grass allover himself and kept saying "eww" so I made him come inside to get a bath and find out just how bad my little present was. Overall, it was really funny! Now I really wonder what goes on when Tad or my daddy have him while I'm at school or dance.Hmm...It really makes me think... :) Here are a few pictures of their fun this afternoon.

A Day at the Beach

We went out on the beach Sunday and stayed out there just about all day. I didn't make Brayden take a morning nap since we were going to be on the beach. I figured that he would be good and tired by the time we came in and he passed out long before we came in! *haha* Brayden had a great time playing in the sand but didn't care for the water that much at all. Hopefully he will learn to love the water because I LOVE LOVE LOVE the beach water!! We did play in the sand and had sand EVERYWHERE!! I think I still have some sand in some places...lol.... Brayden and his Aunt Brandi played in the sand for awhile until she couldn't handle the sand anymore. Then it was my turn to get down there and play with him, which I loved!!!!After playing in the sand for awhile he decided it was time for a nap so he slept on my chest under the umbrella for 2 hours.
We have had such a great time with the family and can't wait for the rest of the family to get here. :) We did a little bit of shopping yesterday for brayden...and yeah mother and me! :) We weren't supposed to be buying anything for us just Brayden but we had a detour. Our main objective was to get Brayden summer clothes for next year and start getting him some winter clothes. I'm very hesitant to buy him pants because he is soo short and he is still in 12 month clothes. He has several 18month shorts that he will not even be able to fit before the summer ends. So, I'm hoping that maybe he'll be able to wear them next summer. Fingers crossed :) We did get him a few things.. I am excited about a little jacket we got at GAP it was $9.99 and 30% off that! I thought that was a great deal, and we also got the cutest bluejean jacket from The Children's Place for Fall/Winter. They are both VERY cute and I'm sure he will be VERY cute in it.
This morning Brayden and I woke up and Aunt Sam was making homemade biscuits for everyone. We had biscuits, sausage, eggs, and white gravy! YUMMY!!!! Aunt Sam and I are the stay at moms this week...Sam's Duties are to Cook and my duties are dishes and clothes. :) Brayden has decided this morning that he wants Oki's cup instead of his own, so he's walking around with a pink flowered juice cup!
The picture upload is not working right so I will try to do a post later with all the pictures :)

Beach Beach Beach :) :) :)

We are at the beach!!! WOOHOO... We got to Destin about 2 1/2 hours ago! Thank goodness...I've been looking forward to this ALL summer long. I look forward to this every year! My whole family under one roof for 7 days. :) I love it! Brayden, Mother and I are the only ones here at the moment. Aunt Gail, Uncle Harrison, and Trevor are on their way down and Sonya and Brandi are coming too. Aunt Sam, Uncle Wayne, and the kiddos will be here tomorrow night after DT at church. My daddy and Tad will be here Wednesday, Aunt Chan and Tucker should be here Monday or Tuesday. We are going to have a house full :) I love it though. Last year Brayden was still a baby and didnt care for the water or sand very much, but I have a feeling he will be the one throwing sand all over us this year and not Oki Grace! haha...Well maybe both of them... :) I wish my daddy and Tad could be down here with us the whole time...but as they say somebody in the family has to work...haha I am just looking forward to being away from Opp a little while. I am sad that I'm going to miss my first Homecoming at Ino as a member! But I do know that I will be able to attend many many more!!!! While I'm here I still have to do some schoolwork unfortunately. I start back to Troy in Dothan August 10th and I am soo excited:) I have missed it this summer.
Back to the Beach... The water looks a little dirty but it seems to just be seeweed. There is a yellow flag out today, but our experience last year with the water was awful...the waves just knocked you down and you hardly able to get yourself back up. I'm sure that the tropical depression isnt helping any at all... Hopefully we will have fun which Im pretty sure that we will. :) Our beach house is very nice, our house last year really let us down...we were very disappointed about the house that we had last year. This year...MUCH nicer:) Brayden is asleep right now in his pack and play after screaming about 15 minutes because he DID NOT want to take a nap. He was SUPER ill and needed his afternoon nap!! No skipping the afternoon nap today! :) Ohh...we have a elevator in here...its soo cool! we haven't rode it and I don't plan too, but we did use it to take our luggage to the 3rd floor...since we are always up top..It was much easier than carrying all of our luggage up 2 flights of stairs! But I will post pictures soon of the beach and Brayden! Hope everyone has a great Day! :)

Where does the time go?

Well its been a little while since my last post and alot has gone on since then. Mother, Brayden and I had a great trip to Savannah! It was so pretty there and I can't wait to take Tad and my daddy..They would love it :) Brayden enjoyed being pushed around all day and not having to walk.(haha) It was HOTT there and we walked everywhere!! We had trolley passes for Friday and Saturday but we only used it 3 times. We saw where the bench was that Forest Gump sat on when the feather landed on his shoe. It was really neat! They had alot of ghosts tours and things but we didn't do those because of Brayden. For some reason when we go on a vacation we think that we have to have ice cream everyday...and we did..and I gained 3 lbs. At least I lost it right after we got home. :) We pretty much wore Brayden out everyday!!! On Friday, we ate at Paula Deen's "The Lady and Sons" for lunch, and it was FANTASTIC!

Brayden and his Izzy waiting for our name to be called out at Paula Deen's.

My sweet little man was passed out after lunch at Paula Deen's and a little shopping

This was the view from the balcony of our room...very pretty!
Mommy and Brayden right after we arrived in Savannah!

My little boy is growing up soo fast and I don't like it at all. He can say: Mommy, Daddy, Dog, Ball, Oki, Bathtub, Yummy, Papa, PawPaw, Kitty-Kitty, No, Stop, Baby, Boc Boc(chicken),booboo, beep beep, Hey, Eyes, Thank you, and ByeBye. Brayden also has 15 teeth and boy are they SHARP! We went to the doctor this past week for his 15 month check-up and we was 21lbs and 31 in. long...I can't believe it! I wish he was still my 6lb 12oz baby all the time. His personality has started showing big time lately through he temper tantroms. I say he acts like his daddy and his daddy says he acts like me..(haha) He is still in 12 month clothes but I do put 18mon. clothes on him and most of the time they swallow him. His shorts especially fall off of him, but even most of his 12 mon. shorts fall off too. He loves his Eli and thinks that he is just as big as Eli too. If Eli is around then you'll know where to most likely find Brayden! The age difference between Eli and Brayden is only a little more than the age difference between Eli and me. So, I'm sure they will be close just like Eli and I are.

This was Brayden's first road trip...when Tad Brayden and I went to Louisianna

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this picture of my baby boy..He looks so sweet

Brayden LOVES spagetti..can't you tell...haha

Brayden getting ready to eat supper in LA.

Tad seems to be enjoying his new job, we are just adjusting to him being away every other week. He actually gone right now and will be home sometime Tuesday! I will have Sam's kids on Tuesday because Sam and Wayne are gone on a trip by themselves for a couple of days. I hope they enjoy their time away together. Okay, I have to share this...Brayden is standing in front of me right now with his crocs in the floor trying his very hardest to put them on..His pinky toe keeps getting caught on the outside of the shoe..It's soo funny and sweet.

I hope everyone has a Great week!!

A Little Bit of Everything

Well last week Tad, Brayden and I went to Louisianna because Tad had an interview. (Which went very well) On our way home Thursday, we decided to stop in Byram, MS and stay the night with my Aunt Chan and little cousin Tucker. We had a great time visiting with them for a little while. This was my first trip to Louisianna and of course it was Brayden's there and MS. The ride was long especially with a 14 month old. Brayden actually did very well and only cried when he was hungry or sleepy. We stopped every couple of hours to let him get out and walk around so that he could stretch out. :)Overall it was a great trip and I loved getting away with my boys!
We didn't do anything special for Father's Day just spent some time together. I love my daddy and everything that he does for me and my family. I can always count on him to be there for me if I need him. I'm very lucky to have such a great daddy that loves me and spends time with me. Brayden loves his Papa T very much too and loves playing and riding the golf cart with him. Brayden and I are so lucky to have Papa T in our life and love him very much.
On Monday afternoon Tad gets a phone call that he needs to be in Louisanna on Wednesday morning because he has a safety meeting at 5:30. So, he left yesterday heading out there, and he is at work right now. I won't know anything about his new job until tonight when he gets off at 6. I'm so happy for him and glad that he got this opportunity. He is working on land rigs now for Precision Drilling and works 7days/home 7days. This will give our family many more opportunites to be able to do things and save a little money for a rainy day!
Mother, Brayden and I are leaving tomorrow morning heading to Savannah, Georgia until Sunday. I am SUPER excited since I have never been and also excited about spending some time with my little boy and his Izzy.

I hope everyone has a blessed Wednesday!:)

Dance Recital is OVER!

Last week was Dance Recital week and I was a busy bee! I ended up having to play records for the recital and boy was I a nervous wreck. Last year Cari Morgan and I did them together and it wasn't so bad, but I didn't have any help this year just because everyone had specific jobs and were busy themselves. Everything turned out fine and once we got through the ballet dances I wasn't as nervous. Mrs. Sellars told Carrie, Whitney and Kelly that I have "relented" to come back next year. So, I will be there! I don't know that I was really ready to give it up yet so everything always works itself out. I actually cannot wait to see what next season has in store for us! It will be different next year because Tamberli will not be coming back to teach, so Carrie and I will have to handle it without her. We will sure miss her. The Recital was very short and it surprised a lot of people I think. I have had quite a few comments that people enjoyed this year alot better than some in the past. That makes me wonder if they really liked our show or the fact that it was so short. :)haha Personally I think it was great and all of the students knew their dances very well. Oki Grace also did a fantastic job with her dances and being Brooke's presenter. Maybe oneday Oki will be just as good as her big cousin Kayla! :)

I did miss Brayden very much last week, and I'm enjoying the rest of the summer with him! I do plan on working a little bit the summer. I have lots of things that need to be done at the studio, and plus all of the my schoolwork for my Biology class that I have on Thursday's.

I have recently been able to tell a little bit that I'm losing some weight/inches. I wasn't able to go to Zumba last week because of dance, and this week we have VBS at night so I'm not able to go this week either. Next week I will most definetly be there though!

My mother, Brayden and I leave the 24th for a vacation to Savannah Georgia for a couple of days. I'm super excited and can't wait to get away for a little bit. I will miss Tad and Papa T since they are not getting to go. I love spending time with my family and can't wait for our annual beach trip in July with everyone! I just wish that my mother and Aunt Gail didn't have to work while we are down there. Well, I better start studying for a test tomorrow since Brayden is napping. Hope everyone has a blessed week and weekend!

My little Golfer!
